One of the biggest problems with metal hulled boats is the continued problem of condensation
through
the colder months. The use of conventional insulation methods will not prevent th
condensation
forming on the hull.
By spraying polyurethane foam directly onto the hull condensation can be eliminated preventing
the cladding of the vessel from being ruined.
The low âkâ value of the foam means that the thickness required is less thus saving space.
All types of craft would benefit from the application of polyurethane foam both for its thermal
and buoyancy properties.
The closed cell structure of the foam enables its use for lockgates, pontoons etc.

Foam systems are available with the following approvals:
- class 1 fire rating to bs 476 part 7(class 0 also available
- SOLAS (Saving of Life at Sea) approved for life saving devices
- IMO (Internal Maritime Organisation) Resolution A689
- MAS (Marine Saftey Agency) certified
- Lloyds Register type approval
- Norske Veritas approved
